Started on 22 December 2014, at midnight, on 22/23 June 2015, public consultations on the draft Flood Risk Management Plans for the River Basins and Water Regions have been completed

The consulted draft Flood Risk Management Plans have been published on the website www.powodz.gov.pl in the tab “Plans.” The comments were submitted through electronic questionnaire also published on www.powodz.gov.pl and in the headquarters of the National Water Management Authority and all Regional Water Management Authorities. Since 22 December 2014, 17 Polish cities hosted series of meetings and conferences inviting experts and persons interested in the flood security. In general, more than 1,700 participants attended the meetings.

During the 6-month long consultations, more than 1,000 electronic and over 230 paper questionnaires were filled and submitted with comments regarding the issue of flood security. At the moment, there are still questionnaires coming by post.

All comments submitted during consultation process will be analysed and the well-grounded ones will be taken into account during the drafting of the final Flood Risk Management Plans. Expert comments on the reported problems will be available on the website www.powodz.gov.pl. Thank you for participating in the public consultations.
