On Tuesday, February, 3rd, the Regional Water Management Authority in Warsaw held a regional conference connected with the launch of public consultations dedicated to the updated Water Management Plans (for Vistula, Pregolya, Neman, Świeża and Jarft river basins) and Flood Risk Management Plans (covering the water regions of Central Vistula as well as Łyna and Węgorapa).

The attending guests were welcomed by Małgorzata Badowska – Deputy Director for Water Resource Management in the RWMA in Warsaw. She encouraged and promoted active participation in the consultations because each comment and opinion is an important element in the process of drafting FRMP and WMP documents.

The meeting was also an occasion to present the assumptions for the WMP and FRMP documents, their objectives, ways to obtain good status of waters and improve the flood risk management system. Conference participants could also watch the films promoting public consultations.
