Second conference organised as a part of public consultation in the strategic environmental assessment process for the Flood Risk Management Plans (FRMPs)

The second conference as a part of environmental impact for Flood Risk Management Plans took place on 7 July 2015 in Kraków. The meeting gathered 93 participants representing various public administration bodies from Subcarpathian Voivodeship, Lesser Poland Voivodeship and Silesian Voivodeship. The representatives of regional directorate of environmental protection, voivodship board of drainage and water devices, district heads of counties, city halls, marshal’s offices, provincial offices, Group of Hydroelectric Power Plants Niedzica S.A., Agricultural University of Cracow and National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management took part at the meeting. Representatives of National Water Management Board, Water Management Boards from Gliwice and Kraków as well as those who prepared Flood Risk Management Plans for the Region of Upper Vistula River and Little Vistula River and the environmental impact assessment report for the FRMPs for the area of Vistula River basin were also present.

The first conference dedicated to results of strategic assessment of environmental impact for Flood Risk Management Plans took place on 6 July 2015 in Wrocław. The meeting was focused on the area of Odra River basin which includes, in particular, Aquatic Region of Upper Odra River and Aquatic Region of Central Odra River. The conference gathered 79 participants representing different public administration bodies from several voivodships, among them, representatives of Regional Directorate of Environmental Protection, Voivodship Board of Drainage and Water Devices, District Heads of Counties, City Halls, Marshal’s Offices and Provincial Offices.
Representatives of National Water Management Board, Water Management Boards from Gliwice and Wrocław and representatives of the contractor preparing Flood Risk Management Plans for the area of Odra River basin were also present.
Public consultations have been launched as part of strategic environmental assessment procedure

According to art. 39 paragraph 1 and art. 54 paragraph 2 of the Act on providing information on the environment and environmental protection, public participation in environmental protection and on environmental impact assessment dated 3 October 2008 (Journal of Laws no. 199, item 1227 as amended) President of the National Water Management Board hereby notifies about the public consultation in the strategic environmental assessment process for the Flood Risk Management Plans (FRMPs).

Started on 22 December 2014, at midnight, on 22/23 June 2015, public consultations on the draft Flood Risk Management Plans for the River Basins and Water Regions have been completed
Regional conference in Gliwice

On Tuesday, 16 June, Gliwice held the last of the conferences dedicated to the public consultations of draft FRMP. Co-organised by the Regional Water Management Authority in Gliwice and attended by more than 70 stakeholders, the conference completed the series of more than 30 meetings dedicated to the drawing up of the key flood protection documents.
