Polish Waters protect against flooding
13 May 2019 r.
On May 8 of 2019, an Agreement on co-financing from the Operational Program Infrastructure and Environment No. POIS.02.01.00-00-0001/19-00 of the project “Review and Update of Flood Risk Management Plands”. The parties of the Agreement are NFOŚiGW as the Implementing Body and the Beneficiary, PGWO WP, represented by the President Przemysław Daca. The total cost of the Project is 65 000 000 PLN, including funding from the EU in the amount of 55 250 000 PLN, while the remaining amount comes from the national funds.

On April 2-3, 2019, Wrocław held the Working Group (G2) Workshops “Flood” of the International Commission for the Protection of the Odra River Against Contamination (MKOOpZ).
PFRA - EC Report
22 March 2019 r.
On the 22nd of March 2019, Poland has provided the European Commission with the report from review and update of the preliminary flood risk assessment. The report has been placed in the Central Data Repository of the EIONET network of the European Environment Agency by the National Water Management Authority, as ordered by the Minister of Maritime Economy and Inland Navigation. More information on the process of reporting to the European Commission the results from implementing the Flood Directive provisions in Poland can be found here.

Update to the map of flood risk and flood hazard

On September 19, 2018, updated flood risk and flood hazard maps were presented to the public in the Public Information Bulletin of the Ministry of Maritime and Inland Shipping, and are available at Hydroportal in PDF at: http://mapy.isok.gov.pl.
