Update of flood hazard and flood risk maps for sea waters

The President of the National Water Management Authority has updated flood hazard and flood risk maps for sea waters. The legal basis for this action is art. 7 of the Act of 16 December 2015, amending the Water Law (Journal of Laws of 2015, item 2295).
Press conference about the project commencement

On November 27, 2017, in the Polish Press Agency at Bracka 6/8 in Warsaw, a press conference about the commencement of the project “Review and analysis of flood hazard and flood risk maps” took place.
Public consultation of the strategic environmental assessment process for the Flood Risk Management Plans (FRMPs) are finished.

The public consultation within the strategic environmental assessment process for the Flood Risk Management Plans (FRMPs) finished on 31 July 2015 at 12:00 a.m. They were held according to the article 39 and the article 54 of the Act of 3 October 2008 on Providing Information on the Environment and Environmental Protection, Public Participation in Environmental Protection and on Environmental Impact Assessment (Journal of Laws 2008 No. 199, item 1227 with later amendments). The consultation started on 10 July 2015 with publishing the documents on the Internet website www.powodz.gov.pl in the Plans tab and with making the documentation available in paper version in the office of National Water Management Board and the offices of Regional Water Management Boards. The comments could have been raised for 21 days by: filling in the electronic form on the website www.powodz.gov.pl, sending an e-mail to wydzial.op@kzgw.gov.pl, filling in the paper form which was available in the office of National Water Management Board and the offices Regional Water Management Boards or by sending a letter to the National Water Management Board’s address by post. According to article 41 of above law, the comments raised after the expiry of the consultation will be excluded from examination.
The final conference organised as a part of public consultation in the strategic environmental assessment process for the Flood Risk Management Plans (FRMPs)

The fourth and the last conference as a part of environmental impact for Flood Risk Management Plans took place on 17 July 2015 in Szczecin. The subject of the conference concerned an area of Odra River basin with a particular emphasis on water region of Warta and water region of Lower Odra River and Western Przymorze.

The third conference organized as a part of public consultation in the strategic environmental assessment process for the Flood Risk Management Plans (FRMPs) took place on 14 July 2015 in Warsaw. The conference was focused on the various institutions from Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, Lublin Voivodeship, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, Podlaskie Voivodeship, Masovian Voivodeship, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, Opole Voivodeship and Pomeranian Voivodeship.
